Whether it's our internal billing and regulatory audit programs or our comprehensive compliance programs concerning the handling and delivery of medical and therapy equipment, you can count on Pacific Omnimedical to maintain ethical, legal and sound business practices.
Our program includes the following:
- Written policies including; Code of Ethical Business Conduct (required reading for each employee),. notice regarding the company's Commitment to Compliance (posted at each facility), educational fraud and abuse, memoranda and policies.
- Training is geared to the employee's individual responsibilities, including training regarding the company's compliance program; reimbursement rules and regulations; clinical policies and procedures.
- Dealing with Excluded/Convicted Persons/Entities screening ensures that the company does not knowingly employ or contract with persons or entities who are prohibited from doing business with the federal government.
- Audits are regularly conducted to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements: Medicare billing, FDA, DOT, etc.
- Discipline Guidelines are set forth in writing, distributed to all employees and consistently enforced.
- Corporate Compliance Committee consists of upper and middle management from various departments; meets quarterly in conjunction with the Board of Directors' Compliance Committee to monitor compliance activities and ensure the continuing effectiveness of the Compliance Program.
