Continuous Passive Motion

CPM is a proven modality used to; reduce pain and swelling, increase and maintain range of motion. CPM also helps prevent; adhesions, muscle stiffness, joint stiffness and DVTs (blood clots).

CPM protocol typically calls for 6-8 hours of treatment per day for 4-6 weeks for a Total Knee surgery (2-4 weeks for ACL, Fractures or Meniscal injuries) or as the Doctor prescribes.

Patient Information

Most insurance companies pay for a Knee CPM rental with a physicians order. Medicare pays up to 21 days from date of surgery for home CPM.
